Better … means we think ahead
Being well packed can be the difference between a chaotic move and a quick and easy move.
· Ensure only strong boxes are used for packing, a box designed to carry Corn Flakes isn’t thick enough or strong enough to safely move your belongings.
· Use plenty of packaging materials, paper and bubble wrap. Towels can be used for extra protection.
· Avoid packing fragile items to the top of boxes, a layer of padding should be on top
· All boxes, top and bottom, must be taped down flat.
· Write fragile only on your fragile boxes.
· Write the room you want your boxes to go into on the TOP of the box
· An inventory list will be very helpful when unpacking, number each box and record the items packed in each.
Prepare a box of “ Essentials ” to take in your car containing – a kettle, coffee, sugar, long life milk, mugs, spoons, water, medications, snack food, can opener, soap, toilet paper, toothbrush, toothpaste, cleaning products, a plug, a torch, a cheque book, clean sheets and towels for use that night, remote controls, phones and anything else you can’t “live without”.
